Hello giga12,
I should emphasize the disclaimer at the bottom of this page, which
states that answers and comments on Google Answers are general
information, and not intended to substitute for informed professional
medical advice. If you need a medical opinion about hyaluronic acid,
you should consult a medical doctor.
As noted by the following web page, two products made from types of
hyaluronic acid are Restylane and Hylaform.
"Restylane and Other Injectables At-A-Glance" (September 17, 2003)
[scroll about 3/4 down the page to "Hyaluronic Acid"]

While the summary chart on that page does not list bruising as a
possible side effect, the companies that distribute Restylane and
Hylaform do mention bruising as a possibilty.
The Restylane web site says:
"After the injection, some common injection-related reactions might
occur. They include erythema, swelling, pain, itching, bruising and
tenderness at the injection site."
"Adverse reactions"
Restylane

Meanwhile, the Hylaform packaging says:
"Bleeding or bruising associated with the Hylaform injection occurs
rarely. Patients with known bleeding and/or coagulation disorders or
who are on anticoagulant therapy are at greater risk for this
complication. Hylaform
should be used with appropriate caution in this clinical setting."

So in different ways, this information indicates that bruising is
possible. Accordingly, you might want to check with a doctor,
especially since you say that the bruising is severe.
