iPaq seems to have a special data bus and a cable. I suppose the cable connects from USB to the iPaq data port. Am I correct? (I do not have the iPaq yet) The question is how to make iPaq wireless? Can the cable connect to the wireless ethernet card and connect to the local network, for example? Or iPaq can connect to another PC only instead of directly to a network? |

Depending on which iPaq model you use, there is a Wireless Lan CF1 (CompactFlash Type 1) card that slides in a slot on the back. You can access in peer-to-peer and ad-hoc mode, so it will work in any wireless network environment. It uses a lot of battery power, so there is also a Dual CompactFlash slot card that provides its own power to a card slot. Anyway, a new Wireless card is about $140, but I'm sure you can find used ones...just make sure your model is compatible. |
