Question ID: 263256
I would like to gather contact information, of probably the related
individuals, of educational and training facilities from around the
world whom would likely find it to be appropriate to hook up with a
recruitment portal to promote the employment of their trainees and
graduates through it.

This would be covering worldwide institutes whom are considered as
qualifying quality and focused technical and professional resource for
the international market. The English language is a minimum
requirement for their resources to be attractive in the international
market.

Hi!

a.) What kind of of educational and training facilities do you require
and with what sector.
b.) Will the IT sector be enough?
c.) Plus would this include universities as well?
d.) What countries should these institutes be located?
e.) Can you provide us a link of the sample institute you want.
f.) Would just links to the institute's website be enough?
g.) Finally how many institutes do you require?

Thanks!

a.) What kind of of educational and training facilities do you require
and with what sector.

All sectors, IT, Healthcare, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical,
Electronics, Chemical and Industrial..etc), Academic, Faculty,
Administration and you name it.. where ever there's a very good entity
that provides training or skill transfer which is one of the top of
its category, we want to know about them.

b.) Will the IT sector be enough?

Nope.

c.) Plus would this include universities as well?

Yes, if they have an office/department/person which tries and promotes
the employment of their staff.

d.) What countries should these institutes be located?

All countries apply, though there's priority on:

1. Jordan.
2. Philippines.
3. India.
4. Pakistan.
5. Lebanon.
6. Syria.
7. Egypt.
8. United Arab Emirates.
9. Eastern Europe.
10. Morocco.
11. Indonesia.
12. Malaysia.

e.) Can you provide us a link of the sample institute you want.

I don't actually, how about examples and we'll narrow that down?

f.) Would just links to the institute's website be enough?

Nope, either links to the contact information of the appropriate party
or a quote of it in here or the next best thing if they don't
distinguish between the different roles and only provide a general
contact then that would be fine as well.

g.) Finally how many institutes do you require?

One very good public sector/non-profit, if applicable, and one very
good commercial.

Hi Easterangel,

No luck? :-)

Hi!

I can't find anything substantial. Maybe another researcher can find a
more valuable resource.

Thanks!

Can you guide me as to what the question needs which is lacking of
parameters to allow it to get answered reasonably well? I see your
other answers and I have a feeling you might be just the person to put
up to the challenge. :-)

The main problem I have is that the scope of this question is fairly
big. When you say different sectors, its hard to determine when should
I stop because there are too numerous.

Plus another problem are the countries you mentioned. Some of them
have non-English websites so it will be very difficult to navigate.

I am a Filipino. We have this government based training organization
called TESDA, which offers vocational courses. Would organizations
like these be the ones you're looking for.

TESDA
http://apsdep-seminar.tripod.com/new_training_technologies_1999/philippines.html

Would any country be ok as well. Do you also mean that you require
only 1 non-profit and 1 commercial institute? If I can't find a a
non-profit would 2 commercial institutions be enough and vice versa?

Thanks.

Clarification of Question by dustydune-ga on 09 Oct 2003 15:54 PDT
Hi,

Lets work on narrowing the industries and sectors till it's
manageable. Also, lets discuss our goals out of these contacts, if
they're not clear which would allow you to optimize the effort and
results.

A preference is to get one non-profit and one commercial, but it's not
a requirement. :-)

We're gathering contacts to establish cooperation relationships with
entities to allow them to serve their interests of getting their
students employed as well as ours in getting our candidate numbers and
market place expanded.

Hi again!

I gave you a sample link. Would institutions like these be ok? Plus
how many institutions are we talking about?

20, 30 or 50?

Thanks.

Clarification of Question by dustydune-ga on 10 Oct 2003 09:48 PDT
Hi,

Would expect 100 results, priority is for the following contact info:

1. Name of person or department if applicable.
2. email address if available.
3. Phone contact if available.

Sounds reasonable?

I will try to locate the information. In the meantime, I will open
this to other researchers who might have a better grasp of the market.

Thanks!

Hello Dusty,

I thought I'd have a look at your question to see if I can help out.
Like my colleagues before me, I have found it difficult to pinpoint
the types of institutions that would be of interest to you. But
perhaps we can make some progress together.

I believe I can find about 100 contacts for you in countries
throughout the developing world, but not necessarily in the countries
you specified...information on this topic is scarce and scattered, and
can be difficult to pinpoint for individual countries.

Nonetheless, there is contact information available. I'm finding
listings that include contact information for organizations like
these:

Mr. MEN Socheth
Director of Vocational Training
Department of Vocational Training
Department Ministry of Social Affairs,
Labour, Vocational Training and Youth Rehabilitation
No. 28 Street
184 PHNOM PENH(Cambodia)
Tel. (855 23) 724 291
Fax. (855 23) 724 2922
----------------------

Mrs. XIE Yuan
Senior Project Manager
Department of Training and Employment
Ministry of Labour and Social Security
12 Hepingli Zhongjie
BEIJING 100716(China)
Tel. (86 10) 842 01654
Fax. (86 10) 842 01653
e-mail: WP0301@sohu.com3
-----------------------

Mr. Kalisiana KOROI
Manager-Technical Training
Fiji National Training Council

Tel. (679) 392 000
Fax. (679) 340 184
e-mail: gen_eng@fntc.ac.fj

==========================

If contacts like these are of interest to you, let me know, and I will
provide you a list of about 100 or more.

Thanks.

Hello again, Dustydune,

I noticed that this question is due to expire in a few days.

It would be a great help if you could respond to the requests for a
bit more information about what you need...the more you can tell us,
the better we can target a final answer for you.

I've actually collected quite a number of contact names for relevant
educational and training institutes around the world. BuT before
posting them as an answer, I just wanted to make one more attempt to
solicit some additional feedback from you.

Thanks.

Hello dustydune-ga,

Thank you for posting a most interesting and challenging question. As
I researched this topic, I came away impressed at the need for the
type of training and education facilities that you are asking about,
as well as the level of activity in this area in many places around
the world.

By conducting a Google search on combinations of the terms:
[vocational training international participants list]

I was able to compile a fairly lengthy list of contacts, which I've
included below. These consist not only of actual training
institutions, but also of many governmental agencies and international
organizations that support such training efforts, through financial
assistance, institutional support, and "train the trainer" types of
sessions.

I think you will be pleased with the results. But if anything here is
not clear -- or if you find you need additional information -- don't
hestitate to let me know by posting a Request for Clarification, and
I'll be happy to assist you further.
