I should imagine that stamps, coins, banknotes, beer mats, horse brasses and matchboxes and matchbooks would be pretty highly-rated, though as a Briton, my perspective may be fairly coloured. You didn't specify whether this was worldwide or local to a specific area; no doubt a little clarification might be of some use. |

This book received all high ratings at Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1580626459/qid=1019516159/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/102-1111750-2327303 The Everything Collectible Book. "This is a great starter book for collectors of all kinds." One remark mentions that it includes historical information on collectibles, another remark states the large variety of collectibles included. I would imagine that as the markets change, as well as the times, the top collectibles change as well. Geographic location would also be a variable. Dinnerware, Silverware, Toys, Books, Jewelry, Stones, Dolls, Cars, Records, Phonographs, houses, Passenger ship memorbilia, I know so many people that collect so many different things it would be hard to identify the top and so far I have not found any reference material to the "top" I hope the book helps. |
