Dear clune-ga
Under the Data Protection Act, data holders are only required to
register Data Controller’s details. These may or may not be an
individual. The Information Commissioner states that inquiries may be
addressed to the Company Secretary,  Chief Executive or Data
Controller. Would this information sufficient if I cannot obtain a
named individual? I have called one company and they stated that
contact should be in writing, addressed to the Data Manager. They
seemed reluctant to give a name.

Also, ITV is ITV Network Limited. It is the body responsible for
commissioning programmes and controls 15 broadcasting licences. Five
companies own these licences. Do you wish to have the Data Controller
details for these companies?

I have now obtained the information you require, please ignore the
first part of my clarification request and let me know whether you
require the five companies licensed by ITV.
 
Under the Data Protection Act the requirement is only to register Data
Controller's details. However, I have contacted some of the companies
and obtained the contact information for the Data Protection Managers.
You may wish to click on the DPR Records link as this also details the
type of data held.

I would like to thank this researcher for their excellent work, time
and effort  - I would have given five stars but I really needed names
as opposed to just departments - if you could get actual names (this
is a headhunting exercise) I would offer more money - can we do a deal
per name perhaps? Ideally I would give you a list of companies to go
through that I am specifically targeting. - I would be interested to

Dear Clune-ga,
Under Google Answers' terms and conditions I am not permitted to enter
into private comminucation with you. Nor can I suggest the price for a
question.
You can contuniue to post questions through Google Answers if you wish
stressing that you will only accept the name of the Data Protection
Manager, not the department. However, from my own experience, many of
the companies appear reluctant to give the name and seek to have you
address their question to a department.
