Is there any type of whois archive? Something that would show the date
a domain was first registered? I am trying to find the absolute first
date hektik.com was registered. It would be sometime around late 1994
early 1995 and being that the registrars have changed a few times the
only thing currently listed is the second move creation date "Created
on: 16-FEB-98"

There is an archive of who-is records, but as far as I know, it only
extends back to 1997. However, it is possible that the 1997 records
may include "Created on" information about the site that is of
interest to you.

However, there's no way I can assure of this, as the archive is only
available to those who subscribe to the service.

If you're interested, I can post information about the archive as an
answer to your question, but I'm afraid I can't guarantee that it will
include the information you are after.
