I should emphasize the disclaimer at the bottom of this page, which
indicates that answers and comments on Google Answers are general
information, and not intended to substitute for informed professional
legal advice.

So far as I can tell, there is no Section 1.4-B of Title 26 of the
Code of Federal Regulations. On the following page, you can see a
list of sections, including 1.4-1, 1.4-2, 1.4-3, and 1.4-4:

"2003 CFR Title 26, Volume 1" (Revised April 1, 2003)
The Code of Federal Regulations

Does this page answer your question? If so, I would be happy to post
it as an answer. If not, are you sure that you are looking for
Section 1.4-B? Perhaps there is a typo?

The question was posed to me and I believe you are correct in that
there is a typo. I am completely satisfied with 26 CFR 1.4 (which you
provided).
I appreciate the quick response.

Best of Luck.

Hello fitzgerald1969-ga,

In light of your clarification, I will post what I found as an answer.

As I noted, there does not appear to be a Section 1.4-B of Title 26 of
the
Code of Federal Regulations. Rather, there are Sections 1.4-1, 1.4-2,
1.4-3, and 1.4-4. The subjects of these sections are, respectively,
Number of exemptions; Elections; Husband and wife filing separate
returns; and Short taxable year caused by death.
