I have found the reason for a lawsuit, initially filed in 1995,
involving Pat McHugh, Physicians Health Plan of St Louis (which was
consolidated into United Healthcare of the Midwest) and Physicians
Health Plan of the Midwest (an inactive subsidiary of that
organization). Is this the lawsuit you are referring to?

If it is a class action lawsuit that was settled in favor of McHugh, yes.

I don't know if it was settled in favor of McHugh. But it was a class
action lawsuit. Given that, should I post the information as an
answer?

Hello mickey966-ga,

By searching on LexisNexis Academic (
https://web.lexis-nexis.com/universe/ )(available through certain law
school libraries) for the parties "McHugh" and (partial name)
"Health", I found the case McHugh v. Physicians Health Plan, 953 F.
Supp. 296 (1997), from the United States District Court for the
Eastern District of Missouri. You should be obtain this case at your
local law library (at a courthouse or law school).

The second paragraph of the decision states, in part:

"Plaintiff filed a class action petition in state court against
defendants Physicians Health Plan of Greater St. Louis, Inc., and
Physicians Health Plan of Midwest, Inc. (PHP). Plaintiff alleges that
PHP misrepresented the percentage of the total cost of covered medical
services that participating subscribers must pay. Plaintiff seeks
class certification for himself and similarly situated others,
injunctive and other equitable relief, and damages."

Physicans Health Plan of Greater St. Louis is now part of United
Healthcare of the Midwest. (I found this by searching on Google for:
"physicians health plan of greater st. louis" "united healthcare".)

"Walli to replace Turvey as head of United Healthcare", by Rick
Desloge (week of September 22, 2003) [second to last paragraph of
article]
