Can one skydive from the island of Kaua'i in Hawai'i? Specifically,
can an adventuresome person go skydiving from Lihue Airport (LIH)?

Hi grammatoncleric-ga,

It looks like you’re out of luck. The only skydiving in Hawaii is in
Oahu. The information in this post is still current.

The only skydiving in Hawaii is on Oahu at Dillingham Airfield which
is on the North Shore in Mokuleia. There are actually 3 DZs located on
the same landing area: Skydive Hawaii (my personal favorite), Pacific
International Skydiving (PISC) and Drop Zone on the far end. All are
good, Drop Zone is mostly a tandem DZ with a Cesna 402, both PISC and
Skydive Hawaii have King Airs and Skydive Hawaii has a 206 and 182
Cesna. The jumpers are warm and are like a big family, I lived there
for a few years. Beautiful place to jump and you can land right on the
beach.

Two other possibilities might interest you. There is powered hang
gliding offered in Kauai and paragliding is available in Oahu.

Let me know if these would meet your needs.
