Dear Runner,

Thank you for your question.

However, I believe that to answer it well, your question will require
more time and effort than the average amount of time and effort
associated with this price. Here is a link to guidelines about pricing
your question, in the pricing guide:
https://answers.google.com/answers/pricing.html

If you both raise your price and also post a clarification here, the
system will notify me and I will take another look at your question.

Hi Runner22,

If you'd like more in-depth info, I'm sure you'll keep in mind
politicalguru-ga's suggestions re: pricing your question. But as a
pilot (unpaid) myself I'm all too well aware of the empty-pocket
syndrome so common among aspiring pilot applicants, and couldn't just
let this go, so here are a few links to get you started:

Here's a list of California companies performing air cargo operations,
sometimes in addition to other activities like charter and courier
services:
http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/news/searchnews.htm

This is a list of small airlines, including air cargo operators. It
includes states other than California, but is easy to scroll through
and see which is which. If the company has a website, it will be
linked on the far right-hand side of the chart with a clickable link:
http://www.airlinedata.com/us-small.htm

Listing of small package delivery services in CA (not all include air
services):
http://www.business.com/directory/transportation_and_logistics/small_package_and_parcel/north_america/us_states/california/

List of six California air freight companies:
http://www.business.com/search/rslt_default.asp?query=Air+Freight+california&bdct=&bdcf=&vt=all&search=Next+Search

Here are a few websites for individual companies either based in or
with a presence in California:

AmeriFlight:
http://www.ameriflight.com/

Professional Messenger:
http://www.promess.com/

Midnight Express:
http://www.mnx.com/midnew9.html

Be sure to ask if anything isn't clear, and good luck. Hope you find
that flying job and those pockets fill up soon!

Tailwinds,
Byrd

Search strategy:

I used several personal bookmarks, especially
http://www.landings.com
http://www.business.com/directory/
http://www.arhs.net/related/air+cargo+services

In addition, I used the following search terms:

California "air cargo" OR "air freight" OR "air courier"
California "air charter" cargo OR freight OR hauling
California small "air cargo"
California small "air charter" cargo OR freight OR courier
California small package air
California "air cargo services"

My goodness, somehow I messed up the link to the California air cargo
companies, and gave you a news source instead. My apologies, here's
the correct link:
http://www.arhs.net/related/air+cargo+services

Sorry about that.

Good grief, either my computer or my mouse button or something is
haunted today. I still didn't manage to paste the correct link. I'm
sorry. Let's try one more time:

Hope this posts properly!
