Where in UK can I purchase "Respa" beds with "Restalux" mattresses, as
recently experienced in hotels in Ireland. I want to buy only one for
my own use at home, ie I don't want to buy fifty of them to equip a hotel |

Your picture is of a double bed. I am looking for a single bed. But
any bed manufacturer is likely to produce a range of models.
My main interest is that:-
1) it is a "Respa" base
2) most importantly of all it is a "Restalux" mattress
3) to be able to contact stockists or suppliers of these products in
the UK

The company that makes the Respa beds also make mattresses, but I have
not been able to find a mattress called "Restalux". I asked the
company and they did not recognise the name. I also searched for the
name in the trademarks database of The UK Patent Office, but nothing
came up. I can supply you with a list of retailers that sell the Respa
beds and mattresses, but I'm not sure about the "Restalux" mattress
you're referring to. Are you absolutely sure of the spelling? If you
can remember the name of the hotel that you saw the mattress in, I
could make an enquiry to verify who the manufacturer is. Or, if you
would like me to post a list of retailers, please let me know. Thanks.
(N.B. All the suppliers are in Ireland)

The mattress label definitely states "Restalux Bedding of Quality.
Extra Firm for Complete Back Support. Gold Label Super (or Superior)
de Luxe."
The bed was in room 101 of Buswells Hotel Dublin, tel (+353) 1 676
4013. I already spoke to someone there who couldn't help too much. He
thought the mattress company had been taken over, but couldn't be sure
if mattresses come from the same suppliers as the beds =
Respa/Kellets.
If all else fails please send me the list of retailers. So far I have
only been able to find retailers of Respa beds in Ireland, but not in
England/UK.

I spoke also to a member of staff from Buswells Hotel, and I also
spoke to someone from their purchasing department - I think you also
spoke to the same people as I did! I could not get a definite answer
either, but as Respa beds are normally supplied with mattresses, it is
most likely the Restalux mattress you remember is likely to be an old
model. The beds and mattresses of the hotel must have been bought some
years ago, before the company changed hands (so i was told by a lady
working at Buswells). I too, have only found retailers in Ireland
....if i find any retailers in England, I'll let you know.
