somewhere in the writings of carl g jung i remember reading that he
suggested that the old testament god jehovah/yahwea had finally found
a way to enter into human time/space and the pyramids were created to
facilitate his rebirth as a christ. i think it was in writings
published after his death.

Are you certain this came from Jung? This sounds more like a statement
from the works of Carl P. Munck.

I agree with pinkfreud that this doesn't sound like Jung.

Could you be thinking of Edgar Cayce instead?

I now think it might be in the books about jung by edward f. edinger.
he knew jung and had personal correspondence. Isn't memory a
wonderful thing!

Might you be thinking of "Ego And Archetype" by E.F. Edinger?

I found a description of it as such:

"I flipped through the pages of Ego And Archetype and stopped at
a photo of ... a Mayan step pyramid. It was in the chapter called
'The Search For Meaning'. On the previous page the author tells of
the early Egyptian concept of the god, Atum.
...
The top of the pyramid representing the place where divine creative
force is manifested and the place of meeting between god and man."
