Hi,

I have some trouble with a known microsoft IE/VB6 issue;

<A HREF="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/q167/3/80.asp&NoWebContent=1"
target=blank>PRB: Internet Explorer Reports Unknown Type .VBD for
ActiveX Document</a>.

My .vbd is located on my work intranet and I have tried to access it
with both xp/ie6 and 2000/ie5.

I have tried to put ie security at lowest security setting, cleaning
the registry for all .vbd settings and all other obvious solutions
like "run" in start menu. I also have googled for it, though not so
deep. Also i have full adm priviledges and the prog is known to work
on at least one computer apart from the developers folksī pc. The
developers are offsite.

Suspected reasons are:

* Recent xp group policies/security settings administered into the
computers from the work IT department client maintenance system.
* Recent Xp/IE6 2000/ie5 updates administered into the computers from
the work IT department client maintenance system.
* Recent Antivirus software update.
* particular IE settting/other system setting changed by the mentioned
IT folks.

Also, but seemingly less probable;
* Error in code.
* User stupidity.

I crave acces to the letter generating in the applicationīs last
update, only accessible this way. If I donīt get access i am over on
manual production but hey, I will survive i guess.

I am hungry for known and particular issues with fixes that I can
execute myself in reasonable time, not to catch up on my VB reading :)
