afternoon kids!

I hear there was a glam photo of Tues. Weld in Vanity Fair recently.
would you be able to find that for me? also did the feature happen to
mention if she's still married to Pinchas Zuckerman?

thank you kindly,
GB

Granny --

It's actually a two-page photo spread of Tuesday Weld titled "The
Seductress." She was photographed in front of a mirror by Brigitte
Lacombe on Jan. 28, 2003. And yes it does appear in the April Vanity
Fair.

"Over the years she has also acquired a reputation as a blithe
eccentric with a non-nonsense wit," the caption reads. "When a
reporter once asked what had driven her into seclusion in the 1970s,
Weld replied, 'I think it was a Buick.'"

Her biography in the Marquis Who's Who still lists her as married to
Pinkas Zukerman. She's a Harvard grad, with a long legacy as well:
Harvard Magazine
"The Welds of Harvard Yard" (Craig Lambert, 1998)
http://www.harvard-magazine.com/issues/nd98/welds.html

Google search strategy:
"Tuesday Weld" + Harvard

Curiously, the photo summary doesn't show up in the Vanity Fair index
on Proquest Magazines. But I've given up trying to figure out how
that online database works.

thank you, Omni! granny isn't up on her copyright law and didn't want
to lure any of you researchers into badness. I appreciate this info
on her pedigree. I knew she was a blueblood. she played Thalia
Menninger with such veracity. from all this extra info provided by
rainbow and my granddaughter, I'm going to assume that Weld-Zukerman
are splitsville. thanks for all who looked on this project. granny
appreciates you very much!

Hi Granny!

Tuesday Weld was photographed and profiled in the April 2003 issue of
Vanity Fair. But unfortunately I haven't been able to locate the
photograph.

Reference to this issue can be found below in an article by Liz Smith:
PlanetOut
http://www.planetout.com/pno/entertainment/news/splash.html?sernum=378

At the following site, the text of the article on Tuesday Weld in
Vanity Fair can be read. Scroll to the bottom of the page where it
begins with this:

"... in April 2003 Tuesday was given a full-page profile in Vanity
Fair; here's their text:..."

SwinginChicks: Tuesday Weld
http://www.swinginchicks.com/tuesday_weld.htm

You'll also find a photgraph of her on the above page but I have no
idea if that's the same picture as the one in Vanity Fair.

Wish I could have helped you more.

Best regards,
rainbow~

hi and thank you, my researcher of many colors! gran was hoping
someone had the April 2003 issue in their unread mag stack and could
host the photo for me. hey, it was worth a shot. ;-)

I'll keep it open for late returns...

Hallo Oma,

According to news reports from 99, the two have filed for divorce.
Since then, there was news whether they divorced or not.

The name to look for, by the way, is Zukerman.
