Hello. If you are OK with using a browser other than IE then I would
suggest switching over to Mozilla or Netscape 7. Then you can use the
Googlebar which has all the same features as the official Google
version, but is especially made for these browsers.

You can get Mozilla here:
http://www.mozilla.org

and the Google toolbar here:
http://googlebar.mozdev.org/installation.html
(Just click on 'install' under version 0.7.06)

I have been using Mozilla myself for a while and love it! It has many
more features than IE including great pop up blocking, an excellent
email program with built in spam filtering and much more. And of
course you can use the great Googlebar.

I didn't want to post this as an answer unless I was sure you wouldn't
mind switching browsers. Let me know if this solution works for you
and I will post it as an answer.

thanks,
-shiva777
