dc." - what do you mean? 
- Where they lived before and after the presidency? (which could apply
to all presidents).
- If they owned a home (in contrast to renting one, or living in a
governmental manor)?

I have raised the amount that I will aloud for this question.  I hope
that this will enlitle you to help me answer my question.

To be very specific I am looking for information on which US
presidents had homes in Washington DC before living in the white
house.  I know that a few did but I am not sure which one's, did, That
is what I am trying to find out.  Can you help me with this question. 
Exact addresses would be very helpful.

Sure all of them had whatever "private" homes before and after the
residence time in the White House.
( OK some didn´t survived and didn´t need a home following up )

You need to specify the word "home" and maybe "private" as well.

I would like to know how what direction do you think I should go to
get my answer to this question.  So far I haven't had much luck and
you have been the only person to respond to my question.  I know you
mention about specifing the word "home" or maybe "private" but what do
you mean.  I really don't know how to specify them any more than what
I have already done.
