Howdy goboy156,

This is a riddle wrapped in a conundrum kind of situation.

I have some severe doubts about this company, and here is my
reasoning. First, we do not find any information at all on
the principals (personnel) of the company on their website.

They do not appear in any search (Google, etc.) I have done,
and I am always leery of companies that don't appear to have
a track record or history.

To that point, a lookup on the domain name provides that the
domain name has been around for just a little over 2 months.
http://www-whois.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois_nic=goodmanbaker.com&type=domain

"Domain Name: GOODMANBAKER.COM
...
Creation Date: 06-aug-2003
Expiration Date: 06-aug-2004"

If we go to their "Contact" page, things get more interesting.
http://www.goodmanbaker.com/contact.html

In the source code for that page, we get the contact email
address of: contact@mandagrp.com

Who is this "mandagrp.com" mentioned, you might ask?

That is "The Mergers & Acquisition Group Inc." and their
domain name is just 5 days older than Goodman & Baker's.
http://www-whois.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois_nic=mandagrp.com&type=domain

"Domain Name: MANDAGRP.COM
...
Creation Date: 01-aug-2003
Expiration Date: 01-aug-2004"

"The Mergers & Acquisition Group Inc." does have some people
listed with them, but this is where it gets strange.
http://www.mandagrp.com/executives.html

Their "Executive Panel" includes:

"Paul Godfrey
Robert T Farnsworth
Michael Godfrey
Martin Day
David Lewis
Linda Farnsworth [the wife of Mr. Farnsworth]
Carlos Diego
Natalya Antsiferova
Edmund 'Ed' Doyle-Kelly"

Now, if we do a search with Google on "Natalya Antsiferova"
we get some possible answers.

The above comes back with links to a series of websites
managed by one group of people, and they are listed on
this web page.
http://www.corporateangels.com/aboutus.htm

"Paul Godbold
Robert T Foskett
Michael Godbold
Martin Day
David Hewitt
Linda Foskett [the wife of Mr. Foskett!]
Shane Zang
Natalya Antsiferova
Edmund 'Ed' Doyle-kelly"

Appears familiar? We have "Paul Godfrey" at G&B and we
have "Paul Godbold" at CA, etc. The descriptions of each
person on each site are identical, etc.

"Corporate Angels" appears to be a legitimate outfit and
their website seems to be the source for the "Executives"
page of "The Mergers & Acquisition Group Inc." which is
tied to Goodman & Baker via their contact email address.

It appears that Goodman & Baker has done their share of
borrowing from at least one other website as well, that
being the site for Trident Trust, which appears to be a
legitimate company with offices throughout the world.
http://www.tridenttrust.com

Here are some examples of what appears to be text borrowed
from Trident Trust.

http://www.tridenttrust.com/funds.htm
http://www.goodmanbaker.com/fund.html

http://www.tridenttrust.com/companies.htm
http://www.goodmanbaker.com/companies.html

While I do not have anything more concrete to provide you
as to the legitimacy (or illegitimacy) of Goodman and Baker,
it appears you might have doubts about them, and so do I.

If you need any clarification, feel free to ask.

Search Strategy: Various lookups, including Whois, and
others noted above, plus examined source code.

Howdy goboy,

Thanks for the tip! As might be expected, there does not appear
to be any online method to see if Goodman & Baker is registered
in the Bahamas. You should call, fax or mail this government
office with any such inquiries.

The Registrar General
P.O. Box N-532
Nassau, New Providence
The Bahamas
Tel: (242) 322-3316
Fax: (242) 322-5553

This LAWANDTAX-NEWS.COM web page outlines the types of registration,
etc. that needs to be done to do business in the Bahamas.
http://www.lawandtax-news.com/html/bahamas/jbalatcos.html

I should have done a "bottom line" statement for you in my Answer as
follows. Any business that borrows the amount of text that the G&B
site appears to do, especially with such references as "20 years
experience," should not be trusted.

Looking Forward, denco-ga
