Hi, I'm looking for a photograph of Tiger Woods teeing off at the 3rd
hole on the second day (round 2) of the 2002 Open Championship at
Muirfield, Scotland . My Dad and I were sat virtually at his feet
during this shot and the worlds media were almost directly opposite.
There must be a picture somewhere with us on it. We were crouched
below the ropes on the front row of the crowd by the side of the tee
(directly behind Tiger) therefore it would have be a full length photo
of Tiger for us to be on it. I believe the date was Fri 19th July
2002. May pay a little extra depending on quality of pic. |

Is this a correct picture of the event?

However, as you can see, the quality of the background isn't so good,
so if you guys were there, you might not be recognizable. This goes
the same for the other photos from the site I got this photo from.
There's an overheard shot, but it's make you guys look 'ant-size'.
I'll what else I can find.

Looks like the right event although the umbrellas are up so that was
probably round three. Round two was quite benign weather wise as I
remember. Just to clarify anything full length of Tiger on the third
tee in round two should have us on it.
Thanks,
Rob

difficult to tell but I don't think so. He was wearing all black and
I think he was playing with Justin Rose and Shigeki Maruyama.

Hello again Ayresy,
It is quite challenging to find an online version of the photo you are
looking for. I'm considering the possibility that the photo may have
been published but not online, or while the photo has been taken, it
was not actually used in publication. Having worked in the publishing
industry, I noticed photographers use up whole rolls of film, but only
a few pictures get picked for actual use. Maybe the picture with you
and your father was among the unused pictures. But who knows, it might
turn up somewhere.

Yeah point taken - it is a bit of long shot - thats why I asked you
guys! I looked around at the time of the event and managed to find a
pic of Tigers head and shoulders on the 3rd tee R2. There was a whole
host of photographers snapping away - more than a few of which were
Japanese press following Shigeki Maruyama round. Don't know if that
may be a possible lead?
