Dear Austin99,
Unfortunately, after doing adding research, I have not been able to

Given this request for clarification, I will have my my answer

In any case I will paste a copy of my answer in the comments section

following email posted on a personal webpage.
We were interested to learn on our dogsled trek through northwestern
Greenland last May that Peary's ship captain Bob Bartlett also
fathered a son with an Inuit women in Thule. He and Inalook had a son
Kavigarssuaq, who in turn fathered at least 5 sons and a couple
daughters, one of whom now lives in the U.S.

I was told by someone who knew the history, that Captain Bartlett got
an Eskimo woman pregnant in Labrador. After the child was born, a
girl, he took her to Twillingate, Newfoundland where she grew up as
Leah Ings as a member of the Ings family. My desire to find out,
somewhere, that he had the illegimate child. That girl became my
grandmother who is now deceased. |
