Hi Gkiii ~ You've had problems with Internet Explorer for almost a year now. There have been times, too, when you had some "malware" or "scumware" attached that you have had to remove. - http://answers.google.com/answers/search?q=gkiii&qtype=all&btnG=Google+Search Perhaps the best way to fix the problems is to reinstall your Operating System. When malware like Kazaa and Xupiter get installed and removed (not to mention some other problems you have had with IE in the past), some files get corrupted, and even the Microsoft patches and updates won't fix those files. At some points, the only course is to cleanly reinstall the entire Operating System and start again. Perhaps you have reached that point? Serenata |

Gkiii, Have you tried using another browser? Maybe you can get Mozilla or MyIE2 as substitute browsers while your IE6 is busted. It the problem though also happens with these other browsers, perhaps something else in your system had been affected. Mozilla http://www.mozilla.org/ MyIE2 English Page http://www.myie2.com/html_en/home.htm I don't know if you have tried this, but I use a Win98 system, so I don't know if it's similar with WinXP, but in case it is, when you go to Add/Remove Programs or the equivalent section in WinXP, then click on Internet Explorer 6. A dialogue will come out which well allow you to Add Component, Repair or Restore Previous Configuration. Select Repair. A progress bar will come out later, and you will have to reboot. But if you've already tried this, do tell us. |
