Hi Willis ~

Since you were looking for a graphic, it should list the name of the
graphic which may be a help. What was the name of that specific
graphic? Was it included as an attachment?

If it is embedded, there should be a full URL for it in the Message
Source, such as http://www.domain.com/name-of-graphic.gif (or whatever
format), which may help you track it down.

Any clarification you can offer will help.

Thanks,
Serenata

Serenata- I right clicked the graphic which I believe was embedded and
viewed the "view source" option. There was the
....@straightanswers.com etc. This email only had the "from" line and
a "subject line" of "interesting" in it. I don't think it was an
attachment. Willis

Aha Willis ...

What you're getting is a "reply to" or "email" link (the
@straightanswers.com is the giveaway).

Which email software are you looking? And do you know how to view the
email's source?

If you're looking Outlook or Outlook Express, you will click on File >
Properties > Details > Message Source to find the source code for that
message. It should have the URL where the graphic is located.

See if that helps,

Thanks,
Serenata

can you just right click and choose 'save picture as'? well, if you
can't, or if you really want to know where it came from, following
these instructions:

once you have your email open go to 'file>save as..'. once you have it
saved somewhere sensible (like your desktop or user folder) you can
open it in notepad. you should now be looking at html or rtf script.
don't worry, you don't need to understand this. just search for things
like 'gif', or 'jpg' (the picture's extension). once you've found it,
you should be at the end of a url - that's the location of the
picture. plonk that url into the url box in you browser and you should
be able to view it alone - then save it.
