I have windows XP and I receive my faxes over an internet service. When
I download my fax it opens it with the Windows Picture - Fax Viewer.
When I go to print it loads all of the images it has in its memory. In
my case it loads 714 images then asks me which one I want to print. The
program has images stored from my internet browsing. I didn't ask it
to store them, it just does. I tried to delete each image individualy
and sent them to the recycle bin, which worked just fine. When I
emptied the trash there was alot to empty. But when I re-opened the
program they were all there again. How do I delete those images
permenatly?

I don't know how to open the program without downloading a fax from
the internet. I've tried finding the program from the all programs and
can't find it. Maybe if I could open the program without the internet
I could permanently delet the images.

The fax view app displays (with its forward/backward buttons) all the
images that it can understand within the folder of the image or fax
the user opened.

When you view a fax, try right-clicking on it to get information about
where it is stored. I have no faxes to view, but for images, a
right-click | properties will bring up a window showing the location
of the file. If you could tell me where the file is, that would
likely provide a clue as to why there are so many images showing up.

Thanks.

Hi Keithf-ga!

Which internet service are you using? Do you use JFax or eFax? I have
a couple of ideas that might work for you. One is clearing your cache,
or Temporary Internet Files. I can also try to help you locate that
specific folder so you can delete all of those old images.

Thanks!

Filian

I use internet Explorer and I have DSL with Comcast.
The type of image is JPEG and it is JFAX
the location is: C:\Documents and settings\Keith\Local
settings\Temporary internet files.IE5\8FB7EODD

Hi Keith,

What you need to do is clear out your Temporary Internet Files and you
will not have to have all of those pictures loading up when you want
to print.

Try this:

Go to your IE Browser and select TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS. In the
Temporary Internet Files area click the "Delete files" button. This
will clear your cache.

My strategy was actually just my own experiences with clearing my
cache -- I've had to do it quite a few times (especially when saving
pictures from the web -- sometimes they would save as "Untitled.bmp"
and I knew it was time to clear the cache!).

I'm so glad this worked for you, Keith.

Take care,

Hi Keith!

I am almost positive that what you need to do is clear out your
Temporary Internet Files and you will not have to have all of those
picstures loading up when you want to print.

Try this:

Go to your IE Browser and select TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS. In the
Temporary Internet Files area click the "Delete files" button. This
will clear your cache.

I don't want to post this as an answer until I know that it worked for
you:) If it does work, let me know and I'll post it as the official
answer with my strategy.

Thanks!

Just a note of thanks for the information about deleting temporary
internet files. It seems to have worked fine.
