I live in Ca. and in the divorce process with my wife. I live in our
home & pay the mortgage, taxes & insurance. My wife moved out on Aug
1,2002. I would like to rent my house as expenses are great. Does my
wife have to pay half the expenses of the house.(mort,taxes,Ins). She
is entitled to half the income from the rent, I'm assuming.

What does your divorce agreement say about this? I don't think it's
possible to give you an answer without knowing the terms of your
divorce.

I haven't been divorced yet. I've been in the process since Sep.
2002. WE are waiting for a settlement. The house is the stumbling
block. I know we have to split it 50/50. But i received an
inheritance from my dad, when he passed away. I'm trying to prove
that the money was seperate property of mine. I'n the meantime I've
been living in the house. Paying all bills without her help.. Which
is proper because I have the use of the house. Now it's a burden
financially to remain in the house. So I would like to rent it out,
and get myself a lower cost apt.
