There is a Victor Morin from St. Hyacinthe who lived 1865-1960. It is
possible that this is the Victor Morin you are looking for; I have
found a web page that suggests that it is:
Google cache of "WATERVILLE ME BLACK WOMAN CABINET CARD PHOTO"
comicalypso.com
http://216.239.37.104/search?q=cache:GpjLgOle_dwJ:www.comicalypso.com/WATERVILLE_ME_BLACK_WOMAN_CABINET_CARD_PHOTO_395.html
Since this Victor Morin was a man of several talents, it is possible
that he is indeed the person you are interested in. However, I have
not seen his name come up much in connection with photography, but
rather as the "famous notary, man of theatre, artist and historian",
as noted in the page I have cited.
Do you think that this is the Victor Morin you are looking for? If
so, I or another Researcher can provide information about him.
Also, is there any information in particular you would like about him?

Hello smiler123-ga,
There is actually a fair amount of information available about a
person (or persons) named Victor Morin, active in Montreal arts at
about the time you are asking about. So far, though, I'm not yet
certain whether each reference to "Victor Morin" that I've found is
talking about one and the same person.
It will take me a while to sort it out. In the mean time, it would be
most helpful if you could provide any additional information. Where
did you learn about M. Morin? What photographic or other works do you
know about? What was the establishement on Rue St. Francois?
Any additional details you can provide...even if seemingly
trivial...will be a help in sorting things out.
It would also help a great deal to know what type of information would
be of most use to you regarding Victor Morin?

The area I'm interested in is Morins role as photographer and whether
he ever took photographs in Europe.
Best,
Graham

Smiler123,
Do me a favor, please, and have a look at this link:
http://www.archiv.umontreal.ca/Galeries/P0056/P0056FP/index1a.htm
and let us know if it has any bearing on what you are looking for.
This is a collection of photos belonging to (but not necessarily by) Victor Morin.

I believe that he travelled to Europe and took pictures of priests
from the seminary in France around 1893-96
