Where can I buy a papasan chair with a 55 inch dish?
(Note: This is a chair Pier 1 Imports used to carry in their stores.
Many stores still carry two types of papasan chairs....a single papasan with a
45 inch dish and a double papsan with a dish of about 45x65 inches. I
am looked for a single papasan chair with a dish of 55 inches.)

Hi gooblator,
Seems like 46" is a standard papasan chairs now. I could find no
larger! Perhaps someone else will be luckier than I!

I was not able to find any papasan chairs that were specifically 55
inches wide. I was able to find pillows for 54 inch papasan chairs.
This would seem to indicate that a 54 inch chair exists. A search on
the term "double papasan" returns over a thousans links. Many of
those sites had chairs that were 64 inches wide and 48 inches deep.
Because these chairs are usually manufactured overseas I tried
converting inches to metric but still had no luck. Finally, I found
this page (http://brainsoup.duckies.org/item/221) where someone
mentioned that it is not possible to buy papasan chairs off the Pier1
website, but that the chairs are put on sale every summer. You might
try contacting Pier1 (http://www.pier1.com) and asking if the larger
chair is available.

I hope this helps,

Derek Cooper

Here's a 62" wide double papasan and there's a 50" wide further down the page:
