Hello markahern-ga!

Your question attracted my attention immediately as I’ve recently
discovered why so many people rave about In-N-Out Burger. Several
months ago, I tried a burger from In-N-Out Burger for the first time
and it was as good, if not better, than everyone says! The food is
amazing (I haven’t EVER had a burger quite like the ones served at
In-N-Out) and the company is quite impressive. It’s no wonder that you
are interested to know if it’s possible to invest or buy stock in the
company.

However, the answer to your question is that it is not possible to
invest or buy stock in the company at this time, as it is a
privately-owned, operated, and held company. I seem to remember
reading something about this on one of their paper products as I ate
their deliciously fresh food. I verified this information by
researching their website and by calling the company and speaking to
one of its representatives. I also asked if there are any franchising
opportunities available with this company and was told that there are
not, again as it is a privately-owned company.

You can find out more about this great organization at their website:
http://www.in-n-out.com/.

There, I learned some interesting things including:

* All new associates start at $8.25 an hour
* On average, store managers make just under $100,000 a year
* Free meals are a perk that is offered!
* They offer an impressive benefits package for full-time employees
* They have a foundation set up to help abused children

I also learned the basis of why they are able to offer such
competitive packages and why it is such an impressive organization.

The following is from their website and speaks of the history and
philosophy of the company that was started by Harry and Esther Snyder
(Esther is the President and continues to work with the office daily):

“The Snyder's business philosophy was simple: ‘Give customers the
freshest, highest quality foods you can buy and provide them with
friendly service in a sparkling clean environment.’ These principles
have worked so well over the years that they are still the company's
fundamental philosophy.”

The website goes on to explain:

“In-N-Out remains privately owned and the Snyder family has no plans
to take the company public or franchise any units. All Associates are
treated like family. Many Associates have been with In-N-Out for over
20 years, some even worked with Harry and Esther in the early years.
These relationships and the commitment to the company's philosophies
continue to make In-N-Out a very special place to work.”

Yes, In-N-Out Burger is indeed an impressive outfit. Heaven knows that
if this company were to go public, its stock would soar! In my
opinion, it would be a great investment, to be sure! We’ve recently
moved back east and my personal hope is that they quickly decide to
open new locations out here in addition to the many that they
currently operate in California, Nevada, and Arizona! Just researching
your question has me on the verge of having some In-N-Out Burgers sent
here overnight!

Thank you for an interesting question! If anything is unclear, please
let me know how I can clarify the information for you. Thank you,
again!

Sincerely,
Boquinha-ga
