I need to find research on the effect of computers in the public
library setting on young adults. Positive and negative effects . This
can include liablility issues as well.

You might want to do a search at Slashdot (http://slashdot.org/) for
"library" and/or "filtering software".  I know there have been some
stories about the efforts to censor access to the internet at public
libraries.  Not exactly what you're after, but related.
