Hello Inkubador,

Getting the Nissan (Sunlit Copper) color was straight forward, getting
the Honda color is a little more difficult. The only "orange" color
used on 2003 cars at Honda's site was described as "Sunset Orange
Pearl"; could you provide a year / model of car where it was used?

Alternatively, I can describe how to find the color codes instead.
Would that be acceptable since there are a number of good sites with
explanations / cautions of colors?

Dear inkubador-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question.

Here are the answers to your questions using three different sources
that you can use on your own for these and other purposes:

SHERWIN-WILLIAMS
http://www.sherwin-automotive.com/formula/car_finder.cfm

COURTESY NISSAN
http://www.courtesyparts.com/murano/paint.html

PAINTSCRATCH TOUCH-UP PAINT CODE
http://www.paintscratch.com/search.html

------------------------------------------------

Honda utilized the paint color marketed under the names METALLIC
PASSION ORANGE and PASSION ORANGE METALLIC (the latter being it’s
official manufacturer given name) on some models from 1996 to 1998.

The manufacturer’s paint code for this color is: YR513M-2
http://www.sherwin-automotive.com/formula/car_finder.cfm?page_id=1&search_type=vehicle&form_vehicle_make=HONDA&form_vehicle_color_code=&form_vehicle_year=1998&form_vehicle_color_name=METALLIC%20PASSIO

------------------------------------------------

Nissan is currently using a color marketed under various names such as
SUNLIT COPPER, SUNLIT COPPER METALLIC, and ORANGE METALLIC but the
official manufacturer’s name given to the color is actually BRIGHT
COPPER METALLIC. This color can be seen on some 2003 and 2004 model
Nissan Murano vehicles.

You can see here that the color database provided by COURTESY NISSAN
lists the paint name as Sunlit Copper and lists the manufacturer’s
paint code for this color as: R10
