What a delightful occasion! A celebration in honour of two of my favourite online friends! I've gathered an odd little collection of goodies for you both. Always remember: Birthdays Are Nature's Way of Saying "EAT MORE CAKE!!!" Pooh looked on admiringly. "I'm just saying 'A Happy Birthday'," said Owl carelessly. "It's a nice long one," said Pooh, very much impressed by it. "Well, actually, of course, I'm saying 'A Very Happy Birthday with love from Pooh.' Naturally it takes a good deal of pencil to say a long thing like that." "Oh, I see," said Pooh. This was inspired by the profusion of mock-personalized greeting cards that I found while searching for something amusing: It's a special day, what shall I do? Here's a personal verse that I wrote just for you! On this [ORDINAL NUMBER] occasion, dear, Happy birthday, [YOUR NAME HERE]! You're [CARDINAL NUMBER] years old now, With [CARDINAL NUMBER] candles on your cake, oh wow! Darling [YOUR NAME], I hope you've in store A wonderful [ORDINAL NUMBER] birthday, plus many more! Jem, Big thanks for the generous tip. I hope your birthday was a joyous occasion, and suggest that you plan another for 2004. ;-) As for Bryan, I suspect that he is old enough already, and should probably go into a holding pattern. The great American comedian Jack Benny managed to celebrate his 39th birthday many, many times (probably blowing out the candles very quickly so that he could reuse them each year). ~Pink |

Many thanks Pinky ... You continue to amaze. As for my age, it is actually a State Secret but I know that I can share it in confidence with two such close friends without it going any further. Actually, I was brought across in 1228 ... a VERY GOOD year. There were several others with whom I remain in close touch but, these days, mostly they hide in GaGaLand, under pseudonyms. Many thanks again to Jem for a lovely idea. Kindest regards Bryan |
