Question ID: 268304
Is there, among you great experts and researchers, one who can find
a great deal for me (+1) for accomodations in Manhattan, arriving Nov.
5, returning Nov. 10?
  I'm looking for decent-to-great hotel/location/accomodation at a
great discount rate (say 50% off, or better). I know it is high
tourist season, and deals are scarce, but if there is a great deal,
please let me know.
I'm willing to pay up to $200 per night if I get a great deal
(e.g., 1/2 off at the Waldorf, or Crown Plaza), but I'd rather not pay
$150/nite for a hotel that normally charges, say, $200/nite. UNLESS,
of course, the hotel
and its price are fabulous, little-known deals, and at no or modest
discount it
is a steal.
Who will make my day with a great answer?? Many Thanks,
John
ps - Need King (Queen - OK) Bed, prefer more central Manhattan.
Amenities, such as pool, room service, etc., NOT essential.

Hello jred-ga:

I am aware of many hotel deals available in NYC. I have worked in the
travel industry therefore this question continues to interest me.
However, I will like a clarification before proceesing.

Are you looking for great hotel deals? For example, if a certain
website is selling a hotel room for the dates you specified for $170
and the normal rate for the hotel is $300, does that interest you?

I know many great deals on various websites. Will the above example be
something you are interested in?

Thanks,
leader-ga.

leader,

Thanks for your note. I've already seen a couple of deals like that
(today, on the 'net), including as commented upon by another good
samaritan, and I'd rather not have your info if that is all you have
been able to find.

I'm grateful for your efforts, but I'm looking for deals not found so
easily at hotwire.com, or whatever.com. That may be the best place to
go, however, but I'm hoping for a yet better deal.

John

Thanks, I will keep that in mind while browsing the web. If I come
across anything that is truly fascinating, I will post it as a
comment. If you like it, I will than post it as an answer.
