There is a "country" product called a "onion or potato bin.  It has a
hinged lid and openings in the sides and bottom to let air flow thru. 
Its not very large, maybe 22" high, 16" wide, and 14" deep.  Can ypu
point me>?

I've been begging my wood-worker father in-law for one of these for
*years*!  Now I see why he's been reluctant - the plans are
