I'd like to get some articles which need to be related to the relationship of information technology management to overall organizational management field. More specifically, those articles should be relevant to 1.) Placement of the ITM function in the organizational hierarchy; and 2.) Major responsibilities of the Chief Information Officer. THX |

Some pointers, free of charge from an ex-cio :) Where the CIO goes really depends on whether the company is IT centric or not. If not the CIO will usually fall under the CFO. If it is, the CIO will fall under the CEO or COO. Major Responsibilities of a CIO http://www.osec.doc.gov/cio/guideCIO.html http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pubs_pol/ciopubs/tb_oimp/sdimit_e.asp http://www.butler.edu/ir/cio/cio_bridge.shtml Should the CIO report to the CFO? http://www.optimizemag.com/issue/021/squareoff.htm |
