are you using internet explorer? if so, make sure you have your status bar switched on ('view'>'status bar'). now, if you hover over a link, it will tell where it's really pointing - so you can decide whether or not to click on it. some sites try and hide this with scripts that write to the status bar. this generally means you shouldn't trust links on that page. if you still want to know where a link is pointing though, right click on it, copy shortcut. it will now be on your clip board, so you can paste it anywhere. i'd paste it into the browser's url box - so if i like it, i can just hit go. |

You could download the google tool bar and select the pop-up killer option. May be that will help you. |

There are some onling html testing programs, that can show brocken links in html page when given a url, they also show other stats. Some i saw traverse an entire web site showing brocken links etc. Also some html web page IDE's like perhaps frontpage might allow you to browse a web site and see brocken links on those pages. Some java applet could also load pages and display a list of all urls in the current page and also a list of brocken links. |
