I am looking to have a short study (15-20 pages) done on the
feasibility and potential of building a small data center (Micro Data
Center ™) powered solely on DC based power.

This study needs to show a cost/savings comparison between DC and AC
based data centers if any exist, any redundancy or reliability issues,
and the perks of using DC vs. AC based power if any.

A small focus on the amount of power used by average 2U servers,
racks, switches, and general data center equipment, including UPS's
and AC Equipment, lighting and personal computers should be included.
We are planning on maintaining up to 60 2U Servers, with approximately
10 Cisco 2950 Switches, 4 Cisco 3650 Routers, 2 Cisco PIX Firewalls in
a failover configuration. All Cisco Equipment and Servers would be DC
powered.

The center I am looking at building / leasing would encompass
3000-5000 square feet with a 500-1200 square foot data room. I am
looking to build an entirely DC based Data Center using only renewable
energy based power sources.
