Question ID: 269117
I am looking for a report on the number of new businesses incorporated
within the US every year for the past 10 years. I would also like to
know the states with the highest number of incorporations per year.
The top 20 states with the highest number of incorporations for each
of the last 5 years would be great.

I would also like the following information provided in the report.

What is the average length of time it takes to incorporate?
What is the average cost in addition to the states fees a lawyer
charges to incorporate a new business?
What are the 10 most expensive states to incorporate in?
What are the 10 least expensive estates to incorporate in?

Out of all the new corporations formed every year how many are formed
online?
How many people incorporate themselves?
What are the top 10 rated online web sites for incorporating?

Laslty when making a choice between online incorporation websites did
most customers use a search engine or how did they pick the site they
used?

Some of this data may not be readily available but an effort to
provide as much data in a concise report is requested.

Hi stevemay-ga,

May I make a suggestion? Since all of the information you've requested
may not be readily available you might have better luck getting a
response if you split this question into numerous smaller questions.

stevemay,

I am making progress with your question, but have one for you.
The company that was keeping track of the number of business
incorporations stopped doing it in 2000. For that part of
the answer would you be satisfied with the 1990-2000 numbers?
I will have to hustle on this question as it expires in a
few days. cath-ga

stevemay,

you haven't responded to my clarification request, so I'm wondering
if you still want this information. After working on this a couple
of days, I think answerguru is right. This is really several large
questions. The federal government doesn't keep track of new
business incorporations anymore, it would have to be compiled
state by state. I can get you that information from 1985-1995, but
don't know if that would still be helpful.I do have the info
on the ten least and most expensive states to incorporate in
(based on the state fees) and can also get the length of time
each state takes. Anyway, if you wish me to continue at all,
please let me know. Otherwise, I'm going to stop, as there
is too much work here for one question. Sincerely, cath-ga
