I am looking for the name of a photographer that rigged up a hidden
camera inside his car. He was able to make his car's engine backfire
at will and simultaneously triger the camera's shutter, capturing the
facial and body expressions of people on the street. An article
apeared in the british press either this year or last showing some of
the photographs, wich where taken during either the 60's, 70's or 80's

Hi Capdequestion,

His name is Howard Stone, who back then, was a "bored" delivery guy
who had a naughty idea after discovering that the van he was driving
can produce very loud backfires on command. After mounting a hidden
camera pointing at the back of the car to photograph the startled
people on the streets, the rest is history.
