Hey everyone,  I'm a student at Cal so Im kinda broke and don't have
much money, but any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm doing a
research project on Filipino Music Artists in American Culture and
specifically in the Category of R&B and Rap. Couldn't find anything on
the Search Tool, so I'm looking for a Ethnical origin statistical
breakdown of Music Artists here in America.  I.e.  what percentage of
music artists are white,black,asian,latino,etc. And also what musical
genre these people are in if possible. Any info and links would be
helpful, especially if there was a further breakdown in the Asian
category among filipinos, chinese, japanese, etc.    Thanks for the

By "music artists" are you referring only to major label "signed"
recording artists (those we've heard of?), or do you mean literally
all people who make music for whom there are statistics/data
available?

Basically all music artists whom are making an impact in Music, where
signed or unsigned.  It would be awesome if there was a breakdown
within the Asian Groups (assuming Filipinos are categorized in it).  I
still can't find anything searching...any help would be greatly
appreciated!  =-)
