How do I veiw a web site with just knowing the IP address? I am useing a lead source company that provides me with names, addressess, phone numbers, and IP address's of the site they visited to sign up for info about my products and opportunity. when I search for that site (to confirm they actually are valid leads that visit a site )useing the Ip address the lead source company gives me i.e. "Joined from IP: 207.213.24.180 " Nothing is ever found. Thanks Doug |

Hello. There does not seem to be a web site associated with 207.213.24.180. Rather, it's a DSL internet service provider, namely Pacific Bell (aka SBC) DSL. source: eamnesia.com http://eamnesia.com/hostinfo/ipinfo.jsp?ip1=207&ip2=213&ip3=24&ip4=180&Search=Lookup+Name&wholeIp=207.213.24.180 I suppose what they mean by "joined from IP: 207.213.24.180 " is that that's the IP address of the Internet host (e.g., Pacific Bell DSL) that this particular lead was using. If 207.213.24.180 were a web site, you could simply type that IP address into your browser's location bar and you'd find the site. For example, 140.147.249.7 is the IP address of the Library of Congress' web site, so if you try typing http://140.147.249.7 into your browser, you will actually be taken to the Library of Congress site. ----- search strategy: reverse ip lookup I hope this helps. If anything is unclear, please use the "request clarification" feature. Thanks. |
