There does not appear to be any sources for the data you are seeking.
The World Health Organization recently (May 2003) prepared a
comprehensive report on what's known, and not known, about the
prevelance of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) around the world. They
concluded in part:
Prevalence
Available data on RA prevalence derive particularly from studies
performed in the USA and Europe, with minimal information on other
parts of the world. These studies have been recently reviewed (1;17).
The prevalence of RA in most industrialized countries varies between
0.3 and 1% and a reasonable overall prevalence for definite RA is of
0.8 per cent adults (aged 15+). The prevalence in developing countries
is variable; with some studies showing lower prevalence rates and
others similar levels to those in developed countries (Table 3.2).
===================
The report is quite technical, and takes a background in health policy
issues to really take advantage of the information it contains.
However, it does provide detailed summaries of virtually all of the
available data on RA from around the world, with a focus on providing
up-to-date data for the year 2000.
If you would like me to post a link to this report as an answer to
your question, I would be happy to do so. And of course, let me know
if you would like any additional information about the report, before
accepting it as an answer.
