I market a DOS based product to which is connected an HP printer via the parallel port using the HP PCL3 driver. Now it is getting increasingly harder to source parallel port PLC3 printers I need to find an alternative solution. The motherboard of this Pentium class device has a USB socket so it occurs to me that it may be possible to find, or get written, a DOS/USB driver that will interface to an HP (or other) deskjet printer. If your answer involves the terms "Yes I can write that and make it work" then I will ask another question marked for your attention with a price of $200. |
