I am looking for a tool that can convert my tree of about 2,000
digital photos into a DVD. Idealy, I'd like to just point to program
at the top of the directory tree of images and have it output a DVD
slideshow with all the photos in it.

It would be good if the tool could...

-sort the photos based on the date the photo was taken
-Make menus and chapters so you could move around easily
-include the metadata (time/date taken) with each photo

I've tried MyDVD, but it can only handle 99 photos at a time. ULEAD
and PINACLE have similar limitations. I also looked at IPhotoDVD, but
it can not even import a directory tree directly, photos much be added
individually.

Hi,

I'm think that JAlbum can do everything you're asking for,
unfortunately I cannot test it with 2000 images, since I don't have
that many.

It can however sort the photos per date, has good navigation, and can
display all the EXIF information about a picture.

Please let me know if this is what you're looking for and I'll post it
as an answer.

Thanks.

I played with JAlbum, but as far as I can tell it does not output to DVD.

Am I missing something?

thanks.

Try AdobePhotoshop Album. I have 5,000 pictures stored in it. It
does really nice packages of pictures for web albums with indexed
pages. AP
