I am interested in gold consumption in the United States. I read
somewhere that 10% of the gold used in jewelry in the US every year
was used for class and fraternity rings. Is there any truth to this?
Just how much gold is used for class and fraternity rings? I believe
that Jostens is the biggest supplier.

According to this, 7.5 tons of gold is used each year in the US to
make class rings. Hope this helps.
