Question ID: 269921
How can I modify the playback speed (with out increasing the pitch) on
my ipod to play Audiobooks (MP3) at a faster rate (say 130-150%)?

If that is not possible how can I generate accelerated MP3s from my
existing ones in a batch process.

There is a $10 tip for an ipod (rather than mp3 reproccesing) solution.

Hi JonathanJonathan,

Will this suffice as an answer?

http://www.ronimusic.com/amsldox.htm

"Amazing Slow Downer" for Mac OS X, Mac OS 8,9, Windows

According to the program, you can slow down MP3s by 50% to 400%. I am
assuming that a 100% slowdown means no change, so according to this
spec you can speed up and slow down with this program.

Try it out; if it you find it acceptable then let me know, so I can
post it as an answer =)
