Hello diabolicalmdog,
The book is certainly by Sayyid Qutb; the question is which book. He
wrote a specfic critique in "The America I Have Seen", but that is not
his most influential book. More often cited are "Milestones" and the
longer work from which it was derived, "In The Shade Of The Qur'an".
In any event, Qutb was affected by his experiences in Greeley,
Colorado, where he studied in the late 1940s at Colorado State
Teachers College. In turn, his views were a major inspiration for
Osama bin Laden.
