Hidden in the following sequence of letters is the name of a cannon.
The letters are in pairs and only one of each pair is used. The pairs
are in the correct order although the word may be in there forwards or
backwards.
A/G,S/I,I/C,L/E,A/E,S/T.
An example is P/F,A/W,L/T,S/C,C/O,Y/N giving FALCON a type of cannon.

Apologies to anyone who has wasted their time on this. The pair A/E
should have been A/I and there was a fixed B at the start of the
sequence and a K at the end. The answer came to me in bed this
morning. It is BASILISK.
