In the very early 1990s, I saw a series of five or six artwork prints
on a restaurant wall. Each artwork involved a musical instrument (or
an assortment of instruments) placed in some scenario that I assume
would be called "absurd" or "surreal." For example, one of them
pictured a cereal bowl filled with dozens of tiny, shiny, identical
instruments (French horns, perhaps? Or violins?) floating in milk, as
though they were pieces of cereal. Most likely these artworks were
carefully manipulated photographs, though I suppose it’s possible they
were extremely realistically painted paintings. Who created these
pieces, and is it possible to purchase prints of them?
