I have a philips vkr 6843 camcorder and when I look through the
viewfinder the picture is blurry, also there is no display showing.

the rest of the camera is fine, it records and plays without any other problems

There is also a vertical section of the viewfinder window of about 20%
which is a white band.The frame which normally is used to centre the
picture is just visible and it is flashing on and off.
