i don't believe you will be able to get this information. under
Georgia law, Motor Vehicle Records are exempt from the provisions of
any law requiring that such records be open for public inspection. in
the past, stalkers or people who had intent to harm or harass someone
have used public-access laws to get personal information such as home
addresses, from motor vehicle records. most states have now adopted
laws protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all info related to
motor vehicle registration. they are generally only open to law
enforcement, to licensed car dealers, or sometimes to corporations or
firms who purchase subscription rights and sign confidentiality
agreements, and whose access to such information can be traced &
tracked by the system. if you are trying to find someone who, for
instance, may have witnessed an accident and you only know their
license tag number, you might try placing an ad in a local newspaper
seeking witnesses. |
