I am looking for a 2 week option for my ten year old daughter in
AUgust. She is going to sleep away camp for July and will be living at
home in Armonk in August. Horseback riding camp, some kind of art or
acting camp. SOme kind of specialty thing. The activity can only
occur between July 21 and Aug. 20. No interest in a general day camp.

Just happened to notice your question (because the answer would be of
interest to a friend of mine who lives in Armonk and has an 11 year
old girl).

I bet any researcher would ask:

1. Do you mean Armonk, Westchester County, New York State?
2. What kinds of activities does this child like or dislike?
3. Would you consider activities in New York City, or do you want
them to be in the suburbs? There are no doubt some excellent
activities for kids in the city, and it might be worth considering
city options, especially if you have a parent or friend who commutes
into the city and could bring the child in and out. I would say it is
30-60 minutes from Armonk into the city, depending on whether you take
the train or drive, and what time of day it is. You would no doubt no
better.
