If a woman begins adminstering Ortho Tri-Cyclen (birth control) with a
Day-1 regimen, do she and her partner need to use an alternate method
of birth control for any initial period of time? The instructions for
Ortho Tri-Cyclen explicitly state that for a Sunday Start, an
alternate method of birth control should be used though the 7th day of
the first cycle of pills. No comparable explicit instructions are
stated for a Day-1 Start.

This answer should be pretty straightforward. Yes/no with a few lines
from a quoted source to back it up.

Thanks,
The Grammaton Cleric

I just found my own answer:

"You will not need to use a back-up method of birth control, since you
are starting the pill at the beginning of your period"
